Another achievement. I’ve got another addition to my ever growing collection of trophies on my room. Fresh from the competition last night, I was our department’s representative to our company’s annual “Eye Catcher” beauty contest.
Out of the 15 girls who joined, I was lucky enough to get the top prize. Anyway, this kind of contests aren’t new to me. I have joined several beauty pageants before when I was still studying. Some I won, and some contests I was just a runner up. It’s always a good experience to join this kind of events.

I can’t believe that in less than eight days, I will be walking down the aisle and will be tying the knot with the person I will spend the rest of my life with. We have been preparing for this wedding for more than a year. I never thought that a wedding preparation would be so tiring and stressful like this. But it’s all worth it once we exchanged our vows and say the words “I do”.

After her longtime relationship with her boyfriend, finally, they are tying the knot. I’m so much happy for my best friend that she will finally walk down the aisle with her love forever. And since I’m the best friend and the maid of honor, I am part of the planning stage of the wedding. She is very hands on with regards to even the littlest details of the wedding. From the reception, to the church, to the bridesmaid dresses, to the invites, and the food that will be served.
This will be the wedding event for the year. I’m so glad my best friend will be settling down to the one she loves very dearly.

It’s my mom’s birthday tomorrow and up to now, I’m still undecided on what to give her on her special day. Right after work, I went to the mall to look for a gift. Luckily, there was a huge sale being held in a nearby convention center. There were a lot of products being sold and were being offered for up to 80% off.
I was there for like an hour and a half until finally, I found what to give my mom. I saw this very beautiful and elegant watch that I know will look very good on my mom. I hope she likes it.

My favorite nephew will be celebrating his 8th birthday next month. He is not a baby anymore, but he is not a grown-up yet. So what I’m planning to give him are personalized kids blankets which I saw on one of the stores I passed by while strolling the mall. I liked it when I first saw it because it’s got a personal touch on it. I hope my nephew will like it as well. Maybe he’s got tired of receiving toys every year so this one around is different.

It’s a great feeling to love and be loved in return. That’s what I feel whenever I’m with my love. He makes me feel complete. I hope that we will stay this way forever. They say that falling in love is easy, but staying in love is something very special.
Someday, when the right time comes. When it’s God’s time, I wish to be walking down the aisle with him waiting for me in the altar. And we’ll both promise each other of a lifetime commitment.

My sister’s target date for the completion of their house is next week already. Hopefully by tomorrow their house will be 100% finished and completed. But there are some little details that needs to be done. Like for instance the compression springs that come out from the sofa. I also noticed the small leak from the faucet in the bathroom upstairs. Other than those, there are no other flaws that I saw.
The next step to be planned by my sister and I is the house warming party where we will do all the cooking for the visitors. It’s time to practice our culinary skills.

I can’t seem to think of a very special gift for my boyfriend on our 5th year anniversary. I remember last year, he gave me a jewelry set which I know is very expensive. Not only that, on our 3rd year, his gift for me were those stainless steel necklaces which I only wear on special occasions.
I feel so much pressure on what to give him on our anniversary. Although he doesn’t oblige me to give him better if not the best gift, I still want to give him something very special that he truly deserves.

It’s the rainy season once again. It’s that time to bring out our raincoat and market umbrella to protect us from this bad weather. Same time last year was the worst rainy season I have experienced. The whole country was put into the state of calamity brought about by the never ending pouring of rain. Many passengers and vehicles were stranded on the streets due to the heavy flood all over the metro.
We are all praying that it would not happen again this time around. We are all keeping our faith that He will not give us something that we cannot surpass.

I am just so proud of my guy. He just passed the recently concluded bar examinations. After all the hard works and sleepless nights he spent studying for the same exams have paid off. I even joked him that we should buy a lot of leather briefcases for him once he start practicing his profession as a lawyer.
But before he starts with his new journey, I together with his family and him will have the weekend to celebrate yet another milestone in his life and for his upcoming success.
