While spending a summer working at an architecture firm in downtown San Francisco, I was amazed by how often the topic of affordable housing came up in conversation. There is a massive need for "middle income" apartments in the city, as more and more young professionals are taking jobs in the already cramped Bay Area.

Co-living seemed like the most logical set up for this demographic; less focus on square footage and more emphasis on location and amenities.

Before diving into programming and design, I first gathered and documented research on co-living housing (both in the U.S. and globally), and also did some reading up on group sociology:
